Pioneer’s new ARC (Advanced Remote Control) app will enable users to control and play various music sources and apps in their smart phone. The app’s large icons and touch and swipe interface makes it easy to switch music source and songs. It will also enable users to manage their contacts / calls and control selected 3rd party apps like navigation to get turn-by-turn guidance through the car speakers. The addition of this ARC to Pioneer systems is a great step ahead towards integrating user friendly smart phones with the in car entertainment systems.
The app can be connected to the unit using the usual USB cable that ships with every smart phone, the other end of which can be connected with the Unit’s USB port. No extra cables are required to be bought to use the app features. The app can be downloaded through the Apple iTunes store or Google Play.
