Classic cars deserve new technology and great car audio too! This 1970 Chevelle came to us wanting a totally re-hauled one-of-a-kind audio system and we delivered.
We built custom kick panels wrapped in black leather to match the rest of the interior, then we installed a pair of JL Audio C5-650 components speakers with tweeters utilizing the factory dash speaker locations.
A custom rear deck was built to house a pair of JL Audio C1-690 6x9 speakers, we wrapped it in black leather to match with black grill cloth covering the port for the subwoofer enclosure. We then added a 12" JL Audio W7 subwoofer in a custom slot ported enclosure that is ported through the rear deck.
We hand built panels to fit in the trunk and kept the design in line with the factory door panels to make it look more like something GM might’ve done from the factory. The trunk is trimmed in black leather with stainless steel rods inserted throughout the panels just like factory. We wanted to add something a little more new-age though, so we frosted the Chevelle logo into clear acrylic and back lit it with color changing led lights.
